...not the show. actual home improvement. okay, so, i may not have done any construction, or painting-but i got some fabulous new things for my house this weekend.
first up--the new duvet cover. it ended up not being a cover, i just found a gorgeous new bedspread (please see fig. 1).
fig. 1
i also got this great new (it's 2 years old, but new to me) couch from my brother and his wife and i went and bought the brand new chair to go with it (please see fig. 2 & 3).

to be honest, i'm having a bit of buyers remorse about the chair. i'm just not convinced i like it in the room. there was a black leather one that was about $150 more, but...i'm kicking myself for not getting it. so...if you want to affirm my decision and rave about the red chair, i'd appreciate it. maybe i'll like it if enough of you lie to me.

i think the chair goes great with the drying spices that are hanging on the wall next to it.
That dinosaur book looks fun.
it is. it's a pop-up book. and honestly, one of the coolest gifts i've ever gotten.
sweet
you've got stairs!
sweet.
red chair not too bad. but, once you mentioned leather chair, i was jaded. because i'd like a nice, soft, leather chair.
oh, and i tried to add you as a myspace chummmmmm. but, that whole, "last name or email" deal stopped me.
just saying.
Your place looks great!
Remember when you and Sue used to compete to see who had the best apartment? Architecturally speaking, you had a clear advantage...but even if the tables were turned I would have voted in your favor.
I remember Sue used to get so mad when I said how much I liked your apartment...
ed! i know. i know. i wanted a leather chair, too. sigh. AND--i'll add you as a myspace chum!
i had to take precautions...you wouldn't believe the things that men will say/do/imply on there. :P
daaaaaanny! HA! well, i've come a long way since those days. my style has...evolved. and i'm also not making only $600 a month anymore. which. well...helps.
I like your style.
thank you!
